This is how sloped roof measurement works
You must allow a mounting distance of 4 cm to all sides. Does this mean simply subtracting 4 cm from the dimensions of your niche? No, not at all. You can find out why and how to measure correctly here.

Folding rule or tape measure, pencil, printed measuring instructions and, if available, a level.
The height must not be measured at the highest and lowest point of the niche, but shifted 4 cm to the side in each case. This corresponds to the mounting distance to the sides that is ultimately not occupied by the furniture. The height is only correct if this gap is taken into account.
Start the measurement by subtracting 4 cm from the straight side as shown in the diagram.
On the side of the kneeling stick, you also need to subtract a mounting distance of 4 cm from the width.
Now subtract 4 cm from the height at the highest point (black arrow on the left). Do the same at the lowest point (black arrow on the right).

Let's assume you have a niche 200 cm wide and 200 cm high on the left, 100 cm high on the right. To keep the assembly distance of 4 cm to all sides, customers often simply subtract 4 cm from the dimensions of the niche. So you want to order furniture 192 cm wide and 196 cm high on the left and 96 cm high on the right. However, when assembling in a niche with a sloping roof, the result would look like this:
It can be clearly seen that there was no 4 cm mounting distance upwards here. This is because no thought was given to the parallel shift, as a result of which the heights on the left and right have been incorrectly determined.
The easiest way to take measurements is to draw the cupboard 1:1 on the back wall. You can protect the wall with masking tape. If you have any questions, you can also contact us by phone or via the contact form.
