Select the external dimensions of your shelf, to the centimetre. Set a shelf height between 30 cm and 300 cm and a shelf width between 30 cm and 600 cm. Choose a shelf depth between 15 cm and 60 cm.
Please Note: In construction, the top and bottom shelving panels will be divided if the following dimensions are exceeded: Solid wood = 300 cm, MDF/Real wood veneer = 275 cm, Plywood = 245 cm, Premium decor = 275 cm. During production, we will divide the panels at the most practical point. Please advise if you require a specific division point.
Are you planning a shelf for a niche or would you like to plan the piece of furniture up to the ceiling? Please plan the following assembly distances: 3 cm to one side and 3 cm to the ceiling. For more information on the mounting distances to be observed, please see Services & Help -> Measure correctly.
Special Requests: If you require shelving with special dimensions or other additional options, please contact our specialist furniture consultants who will be happy to support you in your planning.
You can select the materials with one click. We offer 12 solid wood types, varnished or coated MDF boards, real wood veneers, premium decor and plywood. When choosing solid wood or a real wood veneer, you can also select from different oilings/varnish finishes. Varnished MDF can be configured in over 200 RAL colours.
You can find more information about our materials under Services & Help -> Material.
Determine the material thickness for your shelf. Depending on the material and surface treatment, the material thickness is approx. 1.8 to 2.0 cm or approx. 2.8 to 3.0 cm. The external dimensions you have selected remain unchanged.
You can choose to design your shelf with or without a base. If you choose a base, it can be planned with a height between 7 cm and 15 cm. In doing so, the base height is included in the overall dimensions for your shelving.
Tip: For stability, we recommend adding a base for your shelf, a back wall panel (select in step 8 of the configurator) or alternatively choose a wall mount to attach your shelving to the wall. If you require a skirting board cut-out, you can also select this in step 8 of the configurator.
Use the slider to plan the number of columns for your shelf. In the 3D view, each individual column's height and width can be adjusted and determined.
Use the slider to set the number of compartments. In the 3D view, you can add the required number of compartments for each column. Here, the height and width of the respective compartments can also be adjusted.
You can fit your shelf with drawers and various door types by clicking on the relevant compartment. If you want to plan a door over several vertical compartments, select the desired compartments by holding down the mouse. Our doors are fitted with our push-to-open function as standard. Alternatively, you can choose from 5 different handles in different colours and finishes. You can determine both the material of the doors or drawers, as well as decide whether your fronts should be interior fitted or surface-mounted.
Drawers and doors are manufactured with a material thickness of 2 cm. For surface-mounted fronts, the specified depth increases by 2 cm, while the usable depth decreases by 2 cm for interior fitted options. If the interior fitted fronts are made of solid wood, we apply 2 cm thick stabilizing strips, which reduce the usable depth by another 2 cm.
If you are planning a solid wood finish for your shelf, the drawers will be made of plywood, with the drawer fronts made from your chosen solid wood type. If you select one of our additional materials (excluding solid wood or real wood veneer) for your furniture, your drawers will be produced with a white finish. If a front option is not selectable, the required dimensions of the drawer will be displayed when you hover over it.
Tip: You can choose fronts made from a different material than the furniture structure. A popular option is the combination of a solid wood structure with MDF varnished fronts.
In the final step of the configurator, you can add various options to your custom-made shelf. If you require a flexible shelving layout that can be adapted at a later date, you can add a strip with mounting holes. Or you can select the "Shelf without base" option to turn your shelf into a hanging shelf with just one click. Perhaps you even want your shelf to act as a room divider. If you want to learn more about the available additional options, move your mouse over the info icons.
You can find more information about product details and special requests here. Our specialist furniture consultants will be happy to assist you in planning your custom-made shelf.
For technical reasons, the top or bottom boards and stringers must be divided from these dimensions: Solid wood: 300 cm, MDF/real wood veneer: 275 cm, Multiplex: 245 cm, Premium decor: 275 cm. If you want to determine where the division should be made, please contact us.
Our grooved back panels are made of 0.3 cm thick HDF boards. We offer the back panels in white, gray and black and for specific materials also back panels with real wood veneer. Please note that the shelving unit loses about 1.9 cm in depth with a back panel. On request, we can also supply solid back panels.
You can choose from five handles in different designs. If you want to plan doors and drawers without a handle, you can choose the push-to-open solution.
Standard dimensions:
DIN-A4 folder (WxHxD): 29.0 × 32.0 × 8.0 cm
CD sleeve (WxHxD): 14.2 x 12.5 x 1.0 cm
Blu-Ray case (WxHxD): 13.5 x 17.0 x 1.4 cm
DVD case (WxHxD): 13.5 x 19.0 x 1.5 cm
For the room divider option, we manufacture the pinth (if selected) on both sides. In addition, all doors are mirrored 1:1, so you can use the compartment from both sides. If you have planned a room divider with drawers, the back side will be manufactured in the same look as the drawer front. For safety reasons, we recommend that room dividers be attached to a wall.
It is very easy to plan a stair shelf online. First of all, choose the maximum height that you want the future shelving unit to have. Then you can adjust the height of each column individually. There you can also determine the number of columns and the size of the shelves.
If the custom shelving unit is to be placed against a wall with skirting boards, you can plan a cut-out. The baseboard cut-out can be maximum as high as the plinth.
You can compensate for unevenness in your floor of up to 1.8 cm with the help of a flexible height adjuster, so that your custom piece of furniture can be aligned straight. This increases the overall height of the shelving unit by 0.55 cm.
On request, we will be happy to manufacture cable outlets, cable channels, and cut-outs for your piece of multimedia furniture. You have the possibility to keep these outlets open or to cover them with a cover flap. You can specify the desired cut-outs directly in the shopping cart. We will then send you a suitable offer immediately.
If you decide to select a shelving strip with mounting holes, the shelf division becomes obsolete. You can subsequently arrange the shelves in any height at intervals of 3.2 cm. Doors or drawers planned by you will be fixed at the specified height. If you want a shelving unit without fronts, one horizontal compartment row (two compartments rows for shelves higher than two meters) will be fixed for stability reasons.
Are you looking for a completely individual design? Then do not hesitate to contact us. We have already implemented numerous special constructions for our customers. For example, you can also plan your custom shelving unit as a door conversion. Depth offsets are also possible without any problems. We will be happy to advise you on your custom design free of charge and without obligation.
If you have already created an initial drawing during the planning phase, you are welcome to send it to us. The staff from the furnishing department will be happy to provide you with an offer based on your specifications. You can upload sketches and photos here.
