You cannot plan the cutout for the door directly in the configurator. Therefore, first start with the overall size of the shelf for the door conversion.
Once you have determined the dimensions and compartment layout, you can add doors or drawers to your shelf. Afterwards, you have the option to add options such as a baseboard cutout.
Once you are satisfied with your planning, place the shelf in the shopping cart and specify there as a special request where the door should be recessed. We are also happy to advise you in advance free of charge.
Especially in small rooms, a door conversion shelf is a real miracle of space. Often you can't even use the wall where the door is located and you lose a lot of space. Simply build your individual shelf around the door. Thanks to the precise customisation, the door conversion fits perfectly to your door and the wall. The door is integrated into the custom made shelf, so to speak. This gives you maximum storage space and makes optimum use of every centimetre. Last but not least, the door conversion transforms your room into a visual highlight. Consider in advance how many columns and compartments the door conversion should consist of and how large each of them should be. Consider how you want to use the individual compartments. Which compartments are to be used decoratively? Which compartments should be closed with doors or drawers to store things in? Also consider that the upper compartments above the door are difficult to reach. Store things here that are not used often or plan a place for a ladder.
Before you start configuring your individual door conversion, you need the exact dimensions. Measure your wall as precisely as possible, including the door. You should also not forget sockets and any skirting boards. Since this can be a little more time-consuming for a door conversion and must fit exactly later, we offer you our additionally bookable measurement service. We send an external service provider to you. They will measure your room with millimetre precision using the latest laser technology. Thanks to this service, you can be sure that the door conversion will fit perfectly around your door. The measurement data obtained is used by our furnishing consultant for a free, non-binding quotation.
Once you have determined the exact measurements, you can get started and configure your individual customised door conversion. In advance, you are welcome to take a look at the design examples and pictures of our customers on our website. Here you will find some inspiration. Use our online configurator to design your piece of furniture. Here you can enter the dimensions and plan exactly what materials your piece of furniture will be made of. You also determine the colours, material thickness, number and size of columns and compartments, doors and drawers as well as other additional options. Especially for particularly complex pieces of furniture such as a made-to-measure door conversion, it is advisable to call in our team from the furnishing advice department. They will be happy to advise you free of charge by phone, video or chat. You can also discuss any other special requests with them.
Our furniture is made from European wood by experienced carpenters. The wood comes from sustainable forestry. We will be happy to send you wood samples free of charge in advance. We will deliver your door conversion to your home free of charge within Germany. We also give you a two-year guarantee on the piece of furniture. The assembly is usually carried out by the customer himself. You will receive simple step-by-step instructions. However, you also have the option of booking our assembly service.
Depending on the room situation, you may need an installation distance of a few centimetres. You can find the exact distances in the configurator or ask your consultant for advice.
In the last step of the online configurator, select the item Hole rows. This will provide your shelves with holes spaced 32 mm apart. You can remove the shelves at any time and reinsert them within this grid. With this option, you remain flexible and can always adapt the shelving to your current needs. However, for higher shelves such as door conversions, some rows of shelves need to be fixed firmly to ensure stability.
That is no problem. Simply use the design template on our website. Send it to us with your own sketch by e-mail or via the form. Also note down all relevant dimensions and special requests. Our team will create an online configuration based on your sketch and send it to you free of charge.
With every shelf we automatically supply you with the matching wall fastening. These are brackets that are attached to the wall and to the piece of furniture, thus preventing it from tipping over. You just have to make sure that the wall is stable.
In addition to our conventional materials, you have the option of selecting doors made of glass. You can either select this directly in the online configurator under the item "Add doors and drawers" or discuss it with your contact person.
Our furniture pieces are made of very high-quality materials and can therefore also be used as a library. To obtain the highest stability and load-bearing capacity, select the materials solid wood or multiplex. In addition, it is advisable in this case to select a high material thickness. Adding a skirting board also increases the stability of your piece of furniture.
