You can configure a unique custom-made shelving system that adapts perfectly to the demands of your home. Our online configurator offers you many design options and lets you easily plan and order your shelving made from either solid wood, MDF or plywood. You determine every detail, from the dimensions to the layout. Additional options can be integrated, such as doors, drawers, skirting board cut-outs and much more. Our shelving system is characterised by its particular flexibility. You can plan open compartments for displaying books and décor as well as closed compartments or drawers for hidden storage space. Shelving units offer the opportunity to combine storage space and design by not only providing storage but also acting as visual highlights in the room. A particularly practical feature is that you can use your shelving unit as a room divider that is accessible from both sides - a function that is rarely found in other furniture. Thanks to the modular design, you can customise the number of columns, the height of the shelves and the load capacity to adapt the shelving to your requirements.
Details such as plinths, skirting board cut-outs and back panels can also be customised to your exact specifications, so that function and aesthetics are perfectly coordinated. If you have any special requests, our in-house carpenters are ready to implement customised solutions or special designs. Shelving units also offer the option of wall mounting to save space and create a light, modern design. They are ideal for maximising vertical storage space while maintaining an airy feel.
Design your custom shelving system
Determine the exact dimensions of your shelving unit. You can specify the width to the centimetre between 30 cm and 600 cm, the height between 30 cm and 300 cm and the depth between 15 cm and 60 cm. This means your shelving system fits perfectly into any niche or becomes the centrepiece of the room.
Choose from a variety of high-quality materials such as solid wood, multiplex, decors, MDF or veneer. Each material has its own look and feel, so that your shelving unit perfectly matches the style of your home.
Determine the number of columns and the height of the shelves to customise the storage space exactly to your needs. You can plan open compartments for books or decorations as well as closed areas to customise the shelf both functionally and aesthetically.
Equip your shelving system with additional functions by integrating doors and drawers. Choose between glass doors, hinged doors or flap doors to protect valuable items or achieve a tidy look. Drawers offer additional space for small items and keep things organised.

The extraordinary thing about your new shelving system is that you can design it completely individually in our online configurator. From the external dimensions to the column and compartment division as well as doors, drawers and handles to special requests such as interior lighting or cable outlets, there are no limits to what you can achieve. Therefore, your new piece of furniture offers you plenty of storage space so that you can safely stow away clothes as well as CDs or decorative objects. A base gives our shelves extra stability and an elegant look.
Flexible partitioning thanks to rows of holes
If your space requirements and storage space change in the future, you can opt for a row of holes. Holes are drilled at 32 mm intervals. The shelves can be flexibly attached with high-quality metal pins. Please note that this option is only suitable for you if you do not mind the visible rows of holes.
Plan your shelving system with skirting board cut-outs
Would you like your system shelving to be flush, but you have a skirting board? No problem, just enter the size of the cut-out in the configurator and our experienced carpenters will saw out the cut-out to the centimetre.
A socket brings high stability
The skirting board is not only for visual reasons, but also has a very practical use and is recommended by us especially for larger projects and under high loads. The plinth is 7 cm high in the standard version and can be adjusted in the 3D configurator.
Pickawood UK was founded in 2012 with the idea of mass-producing custom-made shelving. The series process allows us to reduce the cost of each individual shelf and at the same time offer our customers a unique quality.

We recommend that shelves are always fixed to the wall. We enclose the corresponding brackets with your order.
Yes, we can make corner shelves for you in high-quality materials such as real wood veneer, decor or solid wood. We are happy to help you plan your custom-made furniture. Take a look at our picture gallery for inspiration.
The price depends on the complexity and size of your piece of furniture. This service can be selected directly in the shopping basket and the cost of assembly is displayed in the shopping basket so that you have full cost control. Our assembly service can also be booked at a later date, please contact our furniture consultants.
A combination of materials is possible with a few exceptions, so you don't have to decide on one material. You can design carcasses and fronts in the configurator in different materials according to your wishes. A popular combination of materials is, for example, a mix of an oak carcase and lacquered doors.
