We at Pickawood UK also offer customised corner shelving. However, these corner constructions cannot be configured in our 3D planner. You therefore have the option of either contacting our competent furnishing advice or designing two shelves in our simple online configurator and noting the desired corner construction in the special request. Plan your corner shelving
Determine the dimensions of the two parts of your corner bookcase. You can design each of them up to a width of 6 metres and a height of 3 metres.
Choose your favourite material for your corner bookcase from 11 solid wood types and 6 other materials and also fit your furniture with doors or drawers.

Choose from our solid wood types such as oak, alder or birch or from our other premium materials. Your custom-made furniture piece is both practical and versatile at the same time and will grace your chosen living space, whilst providing a wealth of storage options. Thanks to the corner bookcase, you have all the compartments in which you can comfortably store your books, as well as photo albums or other objects. If a classic corner bookcase is too plain for you, you might like a corner bookcase with steps? And so that your new beautiful piece of made-to-measure furniture can also stand directly against the wall, we will be happy to make a cut-out for your skirting board on request. Our carpenters only use wood from sustainable forestry to make your piece of custom furniture.
In order for your two shelves to be connected to form a corner bookcase, it is important that the shelves in the corner are at the same height. You should also bear in mind that the shelf width of one shelf is reduced by the depth of the other shelf when you join the two shelvings together.
A standard paperback book has a depth of 12 cm, a reference book is usually 17 cm deep and a DIN A4 book is 21 cm deep. We at Pickawood UK recommend that you configure the shelf for books an additional 2 cm deeper. If you want to configure your shelf with a back panel or doors, we recommend that you plan your shelf 2 cm deeper in each case.
We recommend that you always fix your corner bookcase to the wall. We enclose the matching tilting brackets with your order.
Our solid wood types as well as our plywood are particularly resilient materials and are therefore especially suitable materials for your custom-made corner bookcase.
No, our consultation and planning service is free of charge for you. You can contact us by email, telephone or via our contact form. We offer individual advice from our specialist furniture consultants from Monday to Friday and from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. In addition, you can of course make an appointment for an in person consultation in our showroom, should you wish to visit us in Hamburg.
As with any other shelving unit, you can also plan drawers, doors or folding doors for the compartments of your corner shelving units. Alternatively, if you would like to fit your furniture piece with full doors, you can plan a made-to-measure corner wardrobe.
Our customers most often order corner bookcases in white. Therefore, we offer various white coatings and varnishes.
The typical construction of a corner bookcase is the one where both shelf sides run into the corner. Since Pickawood UK makes each shelf to measure, it is also possible to plan shelving units that extend beyond the corner of your chosen space and run along your the walls of your room.
