For our individual shelves made of solid wood, we only use high-quality solvent-free oils from BIOFA for oiled surfaces. They "fire up the wood" - as a carpenter would put it. BIOFA oils highlight the grain of the different types of wood and seal surfaces to the extent that they are resistant to stains. Nevertheless, the wood remains breathable and can thus regulate the humidity in your rooms. BIOFA oils meet the EN 71 standard, part 3, and thus comply with the safety specifications for children's toys.
At Pickawood UK, you decide yourself what your new high shelf should be made of and what surface treatment it should receive. In our online configurator, you first enter your desired dimensions and the material thickness. You also select the desired division of your high shelf into compartments and columns. Then select your preferred material, colour shade and surface finish. To help you decide, we will gladly send you free wood samples worth €12.00: wood to touch.
If you would like to add doors or drawers to individual compartments of your high shelving unit, enter this in the configurator as well. The same applies to any fittings: We only use high-quality fittings from German manufacturers for doors and drawers, which open automatically when light pressure is applied.
